Goshen Valley Foundation, Inc. believes that foster youth deserve better. Their mission is to provide hope and healing to foster youth and vulnerable families to cultivate personal healing and generational change. The foundation currently has 115 youth in three residential programs including a group home for teenage boys, foster homes to reunite sibling groups and a program for 18-21 year old’s.
Because of the trauma many foster youth experience, too many of them face low graduation rates, higher rates of incarceration, homelessness, substance abuse and unemployment. Goshen Valley Foundation is working to reverse this trend for the 45 young men at the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch in Cherokee County, GA.
This center relies on support from the community for basic needs such as food, clothing, landscaping and more. Goshen Valley was struggling to provide consistent access to clean laundry which is an essential need to maintain self-confidence, reduce stigma and advance healing. They were operating with only worn down residential washers and dryers that were in constant need of repairs.
“This donation has made a tremendous impact on our organization financially and it has increased efficiency of our facility operations tenfold! We are grateful to CSC ServiceWorks for this critical gift that our foster youth and house parents can count on and easily access every day.” – Zach Blend, CEO of Goshen Valley Foundation, Inc.
This May, CSC’s Atlanta team donated 16 brand new commercial washers and dryers to support the entire campus. These machines allow Goshen Valley staff to be more efficient and consistently provide all youth on site with clean laundry.
