The Road to Hope, Inc. (Cleveland, OH)
December 27th, 2022
The Road to Hope, Inc. provides an abstinence-based twelve-step environment to support individuals on their road to long-term recovery. Residents develop attributes necessary to successfully integrate back into the community happier, healthier and committed to a twelve-step way of life.
The Road to Hope, Inc. supports more than 350 community members each year who are in need and wanting to re-commit to an alcohol and drug-free lifestyle. Residents benefit from peer support, intensive case management, and a community outreach program while receiving additional support to help with employment and basic life skills.
Across their network, Road to Hope Inc. has 17 homes with laundry access but was faced with regularly replacing and repairing washers and dryers. This often left them scrambling and unable to consistently support their programs and residents with clean laundry.
79% of the women who entered the Road to Hope Inc.’s program in 2021 were unemployed and unable to afford taking their clothes to a laundromat. Therefore, the program strives to immediately establish a regular laundry schedule for residents to provide an element of structure in their lives and create a home-like atmosphere. Therefore, the ability to offer this service is crucial to their ability to kickstart a successful recovery.
CSC ServiceWorks was able to meet an immediate need by delivering and installing 16 laundry machines across three locations with community laundry rooms as well as an additional 16 in-home machines at condos that house women in recovery and their children.
