Thompson Child & Family Focus (Charlotte, NC)

Thompson Child & Family Focus Services empowers children and families to achieve their goals through trauma-informed mental health, family stability and early childhood services. Thompson is the leading provider of clinical and prevention services across the Carolinas with four locations specializing in clinical and behavioral treatment, developmental education and proactive care.

Founded in 1886 as an orphanage, Thompson Child & Family Focus Services (Thompson) has since grown into a non-profit organization operating across the Carolinas. Its 4 locations each provide comprehensive education, treatment, and care for children (birth to 18 years) in need.

Recently, our local CSC team engaged Thompson to understand their needs and how we could help. Their immediate needs were apparent; they had facilities where household washers and dryers were running most of the day and occupying staff time. A better solution would free up more time to focus on client residents.

Our Charlotte team quickly sized up the situation across multiple sites and sprang into action. Site visits revealed that they were using a soap injection system, so it became clear that 4 Speed Queen “Combos” would do the job! Soon after, a CSC install team showed up, and quickly things were working better for the non-profit agency. And we’ll continue to support their ongoing service, so it stays that way.
